NEWARK, N.Y. — Section V Athletics is consolidating all sport-specific social media accounts into a single, unified home: @SecVAthletics.
The Move at a Glance
Effective Summer 2026, every Section V sport-specific Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and X/Twitter account will merge into @SecVAthletics. One follow will deliver every score, highlight, bracket, and championship moment across all Section V sports.
One Feed. Every Sport.
For the past several years, Section V Athletics has operated dedicated social media accounts for individual sports across Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and X/Twitter. Beginning this summer, those accounts are consolidating into the Section V Athletics primary channels — @SecVAthletics — so member schools, athletes, families, media partners, and fans can access every sport in one place.
Consolidation simplifies how followers receive information, strengthens Section V’s communications reach, and allows the Marketing & Communications team to deliver more consistent coverage across all sports during regular season and postseason play.
What Is Changing
- Sport-specific Facebook Pages will be merged into the official Section V Athletics Facebook Page.
- Sport-specific Instagram accounts will redirect followers to @secvathletics.
- Sport-specific Threads accounts will redirect followers to @secvathletics.
- Sport-specific X/Twitter accounts will redirect followers to @SecVAthletics.
- All future scores, brackets, highlights, and championship coverage will publish from the Section V Athletics primary channels.
Facebook Page Merge Notice
Section V Athletics is formally consolidating its sport-specific Facebook Pages into the primary organization Page, Section V Athletics. This announcement authorizes the merger of the sport-specific Pages listed below into the Section V Athletics primary Page.
