Section V won all four classes in the first round of the New York State boys lacrosse tournament. All four will play Saturday at Honeoye Falls-Lima High School.

The host Cougars advanced to the NYS Class C Quarterfinals with an 8-7 win over Hamburg in a first round game Wednesday at Williamsville North. Jackson Coon scored his third goal of the game with 12 seconds left to win it for HF-L. They host Jamesville-DeWitt in the second game at Noon.
Victor followed with a 12-8 win over Orchard Park. Colin Wheeler scored three times to lead the Blue Devils open up the slate at HF-L against Horseheads in the Class B Quarterfinals at 10am.
On Thursday, Penn Yan defeated East Aurora 9-6 in the Class D first round game. Braden Fingar scored five goals including the 200th of his career to lead the Mustangs. Their opponent will be Marcellus on Saturday at HF-L at 2pm.
Class A is at 4pm on Saturday with Penfield taking on West Genesee. The Patriots cruised past Kenmore 18-6 with eleven different scorers. Coach Jason Schembri earned his 200th career victory.
