Congratulations to the 2026 Section V Athletics Girls Tennis Team Sectional Champions: Victor (Class A1), Pittsford Mendon (Class A2), Honeoye Falls-Lima (Class B1) and Fillmore (Class B2). The four champions were crowned Friday, Oct. 9 (Class A1 and B2) and Saturday, Oct. 10 (Class A2 and B1).
Class A1: Victor
2026 Section V Girls Tennis Class A1 Team Champions: Victor.
Top-seeded Victor defeated No. 2 Churchville-Chili, 5–2, in the Class A1 final on Friday, Oct. 9, at Rush-Henrietta High School. The Blue Devils reached the final with 7–0 wins over No. 9 Hilton in the quarterfinals and No. 4 Webster Schroeder in the semifinals.
Class A2: Pittsford Mendon
2026 Section V Girls Tennis Class A2 Team Champions: Pittsford Mendon.
Third-seeded Pittsford Mendon edged top-seeded Pittsford Sutherland, 4–3, in the Class A2 final on Saturday, Oct. 10, at Pittsford Sutherland High School. The Vikings opened with a 7–0 quarterfinal win over No. 6 Canandaigua and beat No. 2 Brighton, 6–1, in the semifinals.
Class B1: Honeoye Falls-Lima
2026 Section V Girls Tennis Class B1 Team Champions: Honeoye Falls-Lima.
Top-seeded Honeoye Falls-Lima defeated No. 2 Our Lady of Mercy, 4–1, in the Class B1 final on Saturday, Oct. 10, at Canandaigua Middle School. The Cougars did not drop a match on the way to the final, beating No. 8 Aquinas Institute and No. 5 Wayne by 5–0 scores.
Class B2: Fillmore
2026 Section V Girls Tennis Class B2 Team Champions: Fillmore.
Top-seeded Fillmore defeated No. 6 Avoca-Prattsburgh, 4–1, in the Class B2 final on Friday, Oct. 9, at Alfred-Almond High School. The Eagles beat No. 8 Addison, 4–1, in the quarterfinals and No. 5 North Rose-Wolcott, 5–0, in the semifinals.
