The McQuaid Jesuit Knights have turned these sectional championship celebrations into a habit lately.

They never get old, though.

Which is why there was a display of pure joy from Knights players, coaches and support staff on the rain-soaked playing field of SUNY Brockport’s Eunice Kennedy Shriver Stadium following completion of the rare four-peat on Friday night.

John Harding rushed 31 times for 243 yards and four touchdowns as McQuaid rallied from a pair of first-half deficits to defeat Pittsford 37-14 in the Section V Class AA championship game. READ MORE

One of Hilton Coach Rich Lipani’s keys to the game coming into the Class A1 sectional championship was keeping the ball out of the hands of the Webster Schroeder offense and behind a stout offensive line and a dynamic running attack, his offense did just that. As the final horn sounded Hilton hoisted the Section Five Class A1 sectional block behind a convincing 40-7 win over Webster Schroeder (WS) at the Fairport High School football stadium. READ MORE

FAIRPORT, N.Y. - Seven weeks ago, East/World Of Inquiry rallied to take down Canandaigua to avenge three consecutive sectional final setbacks. It was a statement victory which seemed to turn the tide in the Eagles' favor of them possibly hoisting the sectional block at the end of the season. However, the Braves didn't let that deter them from remaining focused on the ultimate goal and proved it on Friday night. READ MORE

Batavia senior quarterback Javin McFollins threw a virtual Hail Mary that was caught by Vincent Arroyo with :02 left on the clock and the Blue Devils pulled out a 14-8 victory over Monroe in the Section V Class B football finals at SUNY Brockport Saturday. READ MORE

Running back Landyn Thomas and the Attica Blue Devils' defense played critical roles in a fourth-quarter comeback to deliver Attica its first Section V Football title with a 16-8 victory over East Rochester/Gananda 16-8 in the Class C Championship, Saturday evening on the campus of SUNY Brockport. On a crisp autumn day on the campus of SUNY Brockport, the two unbeatens took to field at Eunice Kennedy Shriver Stadium to decide the Class D Champion and Oakfield-Alabama/Elba got out to a 14-0 first quarter lead and never looked back IN a 35-7 win over Alexander. READ MORE

Totten rushed for 376 yards on 40 attempts and reached the end zone five times. The junior was forced into a larger role when senior quarterback, Cayden Pfalzer exited the game in the first quarter due to an injury. The back has totaled 2,510 rushing yards and 39 total touchdowns over 11 games, averaging 228.2 rushing yards per game. READ MORE
