JOHN AHERN  Graduated from Greece Athena in 1997.  As a player at Athena, he earned 1st Team All-County Offensive and Defensive honros, as well as 1st Team All Greater Rochester.  John was an Eddie Meath All Star in 1996, and the Monroe County Division II Player of the Year.  He was also named to the 1st team ALL NY State "Golden 50" and the 1996 Blue Chip All Northeastern Team.

Academically, John was a member of the National Honor Society in 1996 & 1997, and had a 3.75/4.0 GPA.  He was elected to the Greece Athena Athletic Hall of Fame in 2010.

John played college football at the University of Delaware, where he earned 4 varsity letters from 1998-2001, and a number of accolades in both football and academics.  He was a member of the CoSida All-American team from 1999-2001, and a number of accolades in both football and academics.  He was a member of the CoSida All-American team from 1999-2001.  He also was a member of the Atlantic 10 All-Conference team in 2000 and 2001, and received Oustanding Offensive Lineman & Most Dedicated Athlete Awards in 2001.  John was named to the National Strength & Conditioning First Team AA in 2001.

John was on the Atlantic 10 Academic team for 4 years from 1998-2001, and Division 1-AA Academic All-Star in 2001.  While at University of Delaware, he received a BS in Exercise Science in 2001.  He also completed his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2009.
