"Thank you does not even begin to express the magnitude of my appreciation for being named the recipient of this scholarship. The college I will be attending boasts one of the top programs in the nation in my chosen major, photojournalism. Through college, I will continue to use my art to draw attention to/raise awareness about topics for which I am passionate: the destruction of and the need to preserve our environment, the impact of small kindnesses, and the result of hard work on the athletics field. I will use my art and my voice as a call to action and a catalyst for change. Looking ahead to college, I have already been accepted into a climate leadership program. I plan to play club soccer and club flag football. I look forward to getting involved in clubs and I hope to secure an internship in New York City. I look forward to traveling abroad in my junior year. I am excited to make new friends and forge a new path in life for myself. Thank you for making this all possible for me!"
