Norah Czajka Award Section V Scholarship Week Of 7/8/2021 Sport Track & Field School Penfield Year Senior Position Hometown High School Penfield Norah started as a sprinter six years ago, has been running distance for three years, and played soccer as a freshman. She shares that her favorite memories include “all the pasta parties and time spent with my team as well as cheering them on in races. Also my first 3000 back from a year and a half long injury I ran nearly my PR and I will never forget that incredible feeling. I ran over to my mom to give her a hug and I hugged the girls from the other school too. I love the connection that running creates between people. Similarly when I ran a PR in the steeplechase at sectionals my senior year and a bunch of my teammates were right by the finish line.” After high school Norah plans to study biochemistry and mathematics at Carnegie Mellon University as well as participate on the cross country and track teams. She states that one word that best describes herself is “determined.”
