Grace Mattern Award Section V Scholarship Week Of 4/19/2021 Sport Nordic Skiing School Brighton Central Schools Year Senior Position Hometown High School Brighton High School Grace has been participating in Nordic skiing since she was four years old and has been on the Brighton Nordic Ski team since seventh grade. In addition to Nordic skiing, she is also a member of the Brighton Track & Field Team, and competes in long distance events. Grace shares that “I will greatly miss the amazing Section V skiing community and all the connections I have made with both my teammates and fellow competitors on other teams.” After graduation she plans to go to Bowdoin College and ski on their Nordic team. Grace shares that one word that best describes herself is “ambitious.”
